As November is looming fast, this is a reminder to register NOW for the

Rhodesian-Zimbabwean World-wide Reunion being held in Durban from the

6 - 13 November 2005. The reunion is all about friends getting around and seeing

each other once again and we are aiming for a great “Friendship Week” with

as many Rhodesians-Zimbabweans as possible.

We need everyone who is thinking of coming to register soon as possible.

The “Friendship Week” reunion is to be held in Durban from the 6–13 November 2005. The idea of the reunion is to give everyone time to meet and catch up with friends during the week in an informal setting. Many people prefer not to drive at night and as a result of this a number of daytime activities are being organised as well as those at night. The week's events are designed to be affordable where people can meet others and spend time together over a drink and an inexpensive meal. The only formal occasion is the “Gala Dinner” which is to be held at the International Conference Centre, on Saturday 12th November. A must for everyone .

The reunion will start with an opening function commencing at 11am on Sunday the 6 th with the majority of the functions being held at the German-Shamwari Club, 7 Barham Road , Westville, Durban . The Club is centrally placed near the N2/N3 interchange off the M13 freeway and is easy access from all places in the Durban area. Every day there will be activities at the Club where people can meet and spend quality time with their friends. The week will build up to a John Edmond evening on the Wednesday; a Sporting Day on the Thursday and then a large informal gathering on Friday where schools / forces / friends meet for a great evening where the theme for the party will be “Come As You Were”. The Remembrance Day Parade will be on Saturday at 1045hrs and the Gala Dinner at 1830hrs. Sunday 13 th will be the final day of the reunion where there will be a large and final gathering of friends before we all make our way home. The closing ceremony will be at 1200hrs, enabling those who have to leave early to attend the event.

Everyone attending will be supplied with vouchers and specials as well as a contact list to enable you to get hold of your friends. Subject to demand there will be transport from Umhlanga Rocks/Durban North, Amanzimtoti, Pietermaritzburg and Hillcrest to the Club and the Gala Dinner to avoid the problem of drinking and driving. Bookings for all the transport can be done closer to the event.

Sure you can attend all the other events but the dinner will be magnificent and something that you all MUST NOT MISS .

At only R235.00 per person , we need to know well in advance of the numbers so that the necessary arrangements can be made .
